A popular Instagram account featuring twin sisters has amassed nearly 300,000 followers, only to be revealed as a sophisticated creation of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The account, titled “Itsvaleriaandcamila,” gained massive traction over the past two months due to the unique appearance of the influencers.
The AI-generated characters presented themselves as real-life conjoined twins, sharing a single body with two distinct heads and faces.
Since joining Instagram in December 2025, the account has posted over 100 photos and videos. The creators claimed to be sharing authentic moments from their daily lives, including travel vlogs, fashion showcases, and updates regarding their dating lives.
In a recent Q&A session, “Valeria” and “Camila” claimed they possessed separate stomachs and experienced hunger or thirst at different times, stating that their lives functioned through “mutual cooperation.” When asked about romance, they claimed they both date the same person.
The Exposure Despite the elaborate backstory, the twins avoided direct answers regarding their authenticity. While many fans believed the story, others questioned the uncanny perfection of their features.
The truth was eventually confirmed by renowned AI prompt engineer Andrew Hilbert, who revealed that the influencers are entirely digital.
Hilbert noted that the account holder created a detailed narrative specifically to maximize engagement and “clout.”
According to Hilbert, the twins’ overly polished and “flawless” appearance reflects a media-driven standard of beauty that is far from reality.
He also pointed out technical inconsistencies in their posts, such as varying sizes of body parts across different photos and videos, a common hallmark of AI-generated imagery.
