Prominent Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt and TikTok personality Nadeem Naniwala have approached the Islamabad High Court seeking the removal of restrictions preventing them from travelling abroad.
Both social media figures are named in several cases, including allegations linked to cybercrime, and their names have been placed on the exit control list, which they say has disrupted their professional commitments.
In their petitions, the applicants argue that the travel ban has been imposed without proper justification and has hindered their ability to pursue work opportunities overseas.
They have requested the court to order the immediate removal of their names from the list to allow them to continue their international engagements.
The petitions have been filed through advocates Barrister Raja Qadeer Janjua and Ahad Khokhar, with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), the interior secretary and other relevant authorities named as respondents.
The Islamabad High Court is expected to take up the petitions for hearing in the coming days, after which it will be decided whether the restrictions on their foreign travel will be lifted.
