The wedding festivities for Junaid Safdar, son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and grandson of PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, kicked off with a vibrant Mehndi ceremony at the family’s Jati Umra residence.
The event was attended by members of the Sharif and Sheikh Rohale Asghar families, along with close relatives and friends.
The Groom’s Attire
Junaid Safdar opted for a sophisticated and regal look for the evening:
A traditional deep navy blue kurta featuring golden buttons and a clean cut.
He paired the look with a golden-brown silk shawl draped traditionally over the shoulder, complementing the festive colors of the event.
The combination of navy blue and gold highlighted a classic wedding palette, lending a royal touch to his appearance.







Event Highlights
The ceremony was a blend of tradition and high-profile guest lists.
Renowned dancer and choreographer Wahab Shah was invited to perform, adding artistic flair to the celebrations.
Approximately 350 guests attended the Mehndi.
Guests were served a variety of traditional and desi delicacies, including, Soup, Chicken Dampukht, Dal Gosht, Aloo Gosht, White Rice, and Barbecue, Gajar ka Halwa (Carrot Halwa) and Dal ka Halwa.
Upcoming Festivities
The wedding celebrations are scheduled to continue over the next two days.
The Barat (Today, January 17): The Barat procession is set to depart for Lake City at 1:00 PM. Around 400 guests, including family members and close associates, have been invited for the reception.
The Valima (Tomorrow, January 18): The Valima reception will take place at the Jati Umra Farms. This grand finale is expected to host 800 guests, including. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Federal and Provincial Ministers and senior political leaders and foreign dignitaries.
