The Pakistani rupee showed a mixed performance against major foreign currencies on Friday, as fresh open market and interbank exchange rates were released.
In the open market, the US dollar was quoted at Rs280.80 for buying and Rs282.75 for selling, while the UK pound sterling traded at Rs377–381.

The euro stood at Rs327 on the buying side and Rs330.50 on selling. Among Gulf currencies, the Saudi riyal was exchanged at Rs74.85–75.50, and the UAE dirham at Rs76.45–77.35. The Kuwaiti dinar remained the highest-valued currency, hovering around Rs908–918.
In the interbank market, the rupee showed relative stability. The US dollar was traded at Rs279.95 (buying) and Rs280.45 (selling). The pound sterling was recorded at Rs376.87–377.54, while the euro traded at Rs326.96–327.54. The Saudi riyal stood at Rs74.65–74.79, and the UAE dirham at Rs76.24–76.37.

Currency dealers noted that the rupee’s movement reflects routine demand-supply dynamics, with no major volatility observed at the start of the trading day.
Market participants are closely watching global economic cues and upcoming policy signals for further direction.
