The Government of Pakistan has released the complete schedule of official public holidays for the year 2026.
The list includes national, religious and bank holidays across the country, enabling citizens and employees to plan their leave and activities for the coming year.
According to official information, there will be approximately 17 public holidays in 2026. Key occasions include Kashmir Day, Eid ul Fitr, Pakistan Day, Labour Day, Eid ul Adha, Independence Day, Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), Iqbal Day, Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.

21–23 March (Saturday to Monday): Eid ul Fitr
23 March (Monday): Pakistan Day
1 May (Friday): Labour Day
27–28 May: Eid ul Adha

14 August (Friday): Independence Day

Experts note that as some religious holidays are subject to the sighting of the moon, minor changes to the dates may occur.
Citizens and offices have been advised to finalise their holiday planning after the issuance of the official government notification.
