Train services across Balochistan, Pakistan’s largest province by area, have been completely suspended today, causing difficulties for passengers.
According to railway officials, the decision was taken due to security concerns and unavoidable circumstances. No timeline has yet been given for the restoration of services.
As a result of the suspension, passengers have been unable to travel by train across the province.
The Jaffar Express from Quetta to Peshawar, the return service from Peshawar to Quetta, and the Bolan Mail to Karachi have all been cancelled.
Officials also confirmed that the Chaman train service will remain suspended today.
Due to the unavailability of train services on multiple routes, travellers will have to rely on alternative modes of transport to move between cities.
