Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy with his next big release, King, directed by Siddharth Anand. However, it now appears that the superstar may have subtly confirmed another future project during an event in Dubai.
At a real estate event in Dubai, a developer onstage remarked that most blockbuster films eventually get sequels. While speaking, he casually added, “Abhi Pathaan 2 bhi aa rahi hai” (Now, Pathaan 2 is also coming), with SRK standing right beside him.
Although there’s been no official announcement yet, the remark has fueled speculation that Shah Rukh Khan is preparing to return as Pathaan, possibly after the release of Alpha, featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari.
For context, Pathaan (2023) marked SRK’s grand comeback to cinema. The spy-action thriller followed an exiled RAW agent who teams up with an ISI operative to stop a rogue former agent from unleashing a deadly lab-made virus on India.
The film starred Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, Ashutosh Rana, and others, with Salman Khan appearing in a memorable cameo as Tiger. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the movie is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
The film opened to huge crowds and positive reviews and became a massive box-office blockbuster. SRK later portrayed the same character in Tiger 3.

With music by Anirudh Ravichander reuniting with SRK after Jawan, King is scheduled for a 2026 theatrical release.
