Saahil Media Team has released data on incidents of violence against women reported from January to November 2025.
According to the report, a total of 6,543 cases were recorded in 2025—an increase of 25% compared to 5,253 cases in 2024.
The report states that the highest number of incidents occurred in Punjab, accounting for 78% of the cases, followed by Sindh with 14%, while the remaining provinces reported comparatively fewer cases.
In terms of the nature of violence, the cases included 1,414 murders, 1,144 abductions, 1,060 physical assault cases, 649 suicides, and 585 rape cases.
The report further reveals that in 32% of cases, the perpetrator was a close family member of the victim; 17% were non-relatives; and 12% were husbands. In 21% of cases, the perpetrator remained unidentified.
Most incidents occurred at home or private spaces, with 60% taking place at the victim’s own residence and 13% at the offender’s location.
According to the report, 77% of the cases were registered with the police, while 21% had no information regarding registration, and 1% were unregistered.
