Famous Bengali social media influencers Sofik SK and Dustu Sonali, known for their dance reels and short videos, are currently in the spotlight, albeit, for the wrong reasons after a private clip of the couple was leaked online.
The controversy began when an intimate video of the couple dating back a year surfaced on platforms such as X, YouTube, and Telegram. The couple denied giving consent for its release, and the clip quickly went viral.
The two have since released an apology over the leaked footage. Dustu Sonali said it was a private moment between her and her boyfriend, and she also said she filed a complaint against a friend with the cybercrime unit and other authorities.
Sofik SK while showing regret over the scandal admitted that the leaked clip was indeed of him although it was an old one, adding that he had matured since then and was now concentrating on his work and self-improvement.
Sofik SK is quite popular on social media, with more than half a million followers. His videos often include his partner, Dustu Sonali, who also has nearly 312,000 followers.
Sofik has posted roughly 45 videos, mostly of dancing and lip-syncing performances.
