The body of an 18-year-old newlywed woman was recovered from an apartment in Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Karachi while the police have detained suspects and initiated an investigation.
According to police and hospital officials, the family suspects foul play in the woman’s death, prompting police to take individuals into custody for questioning.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South, Syed Asad Raza, said that the deceased, approximately 18 years old and wife of a government official posted in Malir Cantonment, was found dead on the rooftop of building 15-C, Lane 7A, Badr Commercial, Phase 5.

The DIG said the aunt’s son has been declared a suspect and taken into custody for investigation. The police are probing the case, as the father alleges his daughter was strangled to death.
