Security forces on Monday foiled another cowardly attack on Cadet College Wana in South Waziristan, killing two Khawarij.
According to the ISPR, a cowardly and brutal terrorist attack was carried out on Cadet College Wana in the South Waziristan area.
The attackers belonged to the Indian proxy organization “Fitnah al-Khawarij.” The attackers tried to break through the college’s outer security perimeter, but our alert and firm action immediately foiled their malicious intentions.
The ISPR said that the attackers rammed a vehicle laden with explosives into the main gate, causing the main entrance to collapse and damaging nearby infrastructure. Security forces, demonstrating professional skill and bravery, gave an effective response to the intruding attackers.
During the operation two militants were killed, while three militants managed to enter the college’s administrative block and are trapped there; they are under siege and a clearance operation is ongoing against them.
They said these militants attempted once again the same savage act carried out in 2014 at Army Public School Peshawar. The purpose of the attack is to spread fear among the younger generation, particularly those students from tribal areas who are striving to improve their own and their communities’ futures by obtaining quality education.
The ISPR said the militants hiding inside the college are in contact with their masters and handlers in Afghanistan and are receiving instructions. T
According to the Pakistan Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations, Pakistan reserves the right to respond at any time against terrorists and their leadership, even if they are in Afghanistan.
