Pakistan and India’s emerging cricket teams are once again set to face each other, as the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has released details of the Asia Cup Rising Stars Championship.
According to details, young cricketers from across Asia will compete in the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 to be held in Doha next month. The ACC has renamed the Emerging Asia Cup to Asia Cup Rising Stars, which will be played in the T20 format from November 14 to 23.
A total of 15 matches will be played during the tournament, featuring the same eight teams that participated in last month’s Asia Cup held in the United Arab Emirates. The event will include Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and Hong Kong.
Pakistan A and India A have once again been placed in the same group along with the UAE and Oman. Group A includes Bangladesh A, Afghanistan A, Sri Lanka A, and Hong Kong.
Pakistan and India will face each other in the group stage on November 16. There will be no Super Four stage in the event, so a maximum of two matches between Pakistan and India will be possible.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals, and the final will be played on November 23. It is worth mentioning that Afghanistan won the previous edition by defeating Sri Lanka A in the final.
