The Chief Minister of Sindh inaugurated the e-challan system for traffic violations in Karachi, as reported by national media on Monday.
Addressing the ceremony after inaugurating the e-challan system in Karachi, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah said that everyone, including rickshaws, cars, and motorcycles, is violating the law. We should work on the necessary measures for traffic management, strengthen the Traffic Management Bureau further, and create public awareness.
He stated that traffic violations will now be automatically recorded through modern cameras, and with the advanced e-ticketing system, human intervention and bias will be eliminated. Under this project, the number of cameras will be increased to 12,000, while the system will be expanded across Sindh in phases.
Murad Ali Shah said that citizens can contact the traffic centers to explain or appeal against e-tickets. Traffic centers have been established for public guidance and convenience. Track is an important step towards digital transparency and modernization in Sindh, through which we are ensuring better service and protection for our citizens.
The Chief Minister of Sindh further said that complete signboards should be installed on roads so that people are aware. The 15 percent amount obtained through challans should continue, and there should also be a system where 30 percent is taken from those who issue wrong challans.
