Lahore has once again topped the list of the world’s most polluted cities, while Karachi ranks fourth.
According to the global air pollution agency IQ Air, on Friday, Lahore topped the list of the world’s most polluted cities, followed by India’s capital, New Delhi, Kolkata, and Karachi.
At around 9:30 am, the air quality in Lahore was recorded at 312, New Delhi at 206, Kolkata at 174 and Karachi at 173.
According to the Punjab Air Quality Index, the air quality in Chak Jhumra was the worst, with an air quality of 664 recorded.
The air quality in Faisalabad was 579, Raiwind at 470, Kasur at 439, and Pattoki at 362.
According to environmental experts, this level of pollution is very harmful to human health. Especially children, the elderly, and people suffering from respiratory diseases have been instructed not to leave their homes unnecessarily.
On the other hand, the Punjab government is also continuing to use anti-smog guns to reduce air pollution.
