The Ministry of Religious Affairs has begun processing refunds worth Rs3.45 billion for 67,377 Hajj pilgrims, with payments to be transferred directly into their bank accounts by October 31, 2025.
The initiative, led by Federal Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, aims to promote transparency and fairness in the Hajj operation.
Refunds are being issued according to actual expenditures: 14% of pilgrims will receive between Rs12,000 and Rs12,286, 16% between Rs13,000 and Rs25,000, while 20,302 pilgrims will get Rs75,000, and 408 will be refunded Rs110,000. Those not qualifying for refunds have already received services equivalent to their payments.
Moving forward, all pilgrims will receive a trolley bag, handbag, scarf (for women), and a Saudi SIM card providing internet access and 3.5 minutes of free calls. The 40-day Hajj package is priced at Rs1.15 million, while the shorter package costs Rs1.2 million.
Secretary of Hajj, Dr. Attaur Rehman, confirmed that strict measures are in place to address complaints and that individuals with serious health conditions will not be permitted to travel, ensuring a safe and well-managed pilgrimage.
