A massive fire broke out at a candle manufacturing factory in Karachi on Wednesday evening, prompting a swift response from fire brigade and rescue teams.
The blaze erupted at a factory located on Sher Shah Jinnah Road, where multiple fire tenders from KMC and Rescue 1122 reached the site and immediately began firefighting and relief operations.
According to sources, flames were visible from a distance, posing a threat to nearby buildings. However, firefighters managed to contain the fire in time, preventing it from spreading further.
Initial reports suggest that no loss of life has been reported, though raw materials and finished candles inside the factory were completely destroyed.
Officials said the cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but a short circuit or overheating machinery is suspected.
Rescue officials confirmed that several fire brigade vehicles remain engaged in the operation, while traffic in the surrounding area has been diverted to alternate routes to ensure smooth relief efforts.
