Under the Gaza peace agreement, the Palestinian resistance organization Hamas has released 20 Israeli hostages, while Israel is in the process of releasing more than 1,700 Palestinian prisoners.
According to Arab media reports, Hamas has today released all 20 Israeli hostages in phases — 7 in the first phase and 13 in the second phase.
Israeli media reports that Hamas will also hand over the bodies of 28 hostages to Israel today, while 1,700 Palestinian prisoners are boarding buses from Israeli prisons heading toward Gaza and the West Bank.
The released Palestinian prisoners will be taken to Al-Nasr Hospital in southern Gaza, where they will receive medical aid, according to Arab media.
Meanwhile, a formal signing ceremony for the Gaza peace agreement will be held today in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh. Heads of various countries, including U.S. President Donald Trump and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, are arriving in Egypt to attend the signing ceremony.
