Amid the ongoing debate surrounding reported demands for eight-hour work shifts by fellow actor Deepika Padukone, Actor Rani Mukerji has spoken out her concerns.
Addressing the issue, Mukerji reflected on her career and personal journey, especially how she has managed the demands of work and motherhood.
She noted that the debate is not just about hours, but also about ensuring fair treatment and respect for all professionals.
In a conversation with Indian media, the actor recalled her experience and said, “When I did ‘Hichki’, Adira was 14 months old, and I was still breastfeeding her, so I had to pump the milk and go in the morning, and I was shooting in a college in town.”
Recently, the conversation regarding standardised work shifts in Bollywood was sparked as Deepika Padukone was the first one to demand a move towards eight-hour workdays.
