Indian cricket team assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate broke his silence on Haris Rauf’s alleged provocative gestures during the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 clash.
Although Rauf’s gestures sparked a massive controversy, Ten Doeschate was quick to point out that it was not something that concerned the Indian team.
It may be recalled that during the match, while Rauf was fielding near the boundary, some Indian fans were hooting and taunting him. In response, Rauf made a gesture resembling a falling airplane, apparently referencing the May conflict between India and Pakistan. During that conflict, Pakistan reportedly shot down six Indian aircraft.

Meanwhile, there are also reports that senior Indian cricket officials are urging the International Cricket Council (ICC) to impose a ban on Pakistani batsman Saqibzada Farhan for his gun-style celebration after scoring a fifty against India in the same match.
It is noteworthy here that Pakistan and Indian are likely to face off in the final of the Asia Cup following Pakistan’s victory against Sri Lanka last night.
