KARACHI: The Sindh Education Department has rejected social media reports claiming that schools and colleges across the province would remain closed on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for the department termed the notification being circulated online as “fabricated and lacking authenticity,” confirming that all educational institutions will remain open as per routine.
The official added that any decision regarding the closure of schools or colleges would be taken only in light of prevailing circumstances.
The clarification came after a fake notification suggested closures in Karachi due to weather concerns.
On Monday evening, moderate to heavy rainfall was reported in parts of the city, with earlier forecasts warning of possible urban flooding and thunderstorms.
