An accused of rape reportedly circulated a video of his crime on social media to further blackmail the victim girl in Pattoki. Police have registered a case; however, the accused and his friend are yet to be arrested.
As per the media report, the incident occurred in the theKot Sardar Kahan Singh, a suburb of Pattoki.
According to the FIR, the accused had been raping the girl for a year by threatening to make the video viral. Recently, the accused and his friends made the video viral when the victim refused to fulfill their demands.
In this regard, the police say that the accused are on interim bail.
It should be noted that Pakistan reports incidents of sexual assault or sexual harassment of girls and even minors daily; however, in most cases, the accused escape the clutches of the law. Those who are caught do not get exemplary punishment due to legal complications. Due to this, these crimes are increasing day by day.
