The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a 1.46% increase in liquefied natural gas (LNG) prices for August, impacting both domestic and industrial consumers across Pakistan.
According to the notification, the new rates apply to both the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) systems.
LNG prices on the SSGC network have been raised by $0.15 per MMBTU, bringing the new rate to $10.73 per MMBTU. On the SNGPL network, prices have increased by $0.14 per MMBTU, setting the revised rate at $11.73 per MMBTU.
OGRA stated that the revision is part of its monthly price adjustment mechanism, which reflects fluctuations in global LNG import costs.
The change is expected to directly impact households, commercial users, and industries dependent on LNG for their energy requirements.
