The Government of Pakistan has taken strict security measures during the sacred and sensitive days of Muharram-ul-Haram to protect the public and maintain law and order. In this regard, the Pakistan Army and civil armed forces have been deployed across the country.
According to details, this decision has been made to deal with any potential security threats and to provide protection to citizens during mourning processions and religious gatherings, reflecting the government’s commitment to public safety.
The Ministry of Interior prepared a comprehensive security plan and presented it to the federal cabinet, which immediately approved it considering its importance.
After approval, formal orders were issued for the deployment of forces throughout the country. These orders will be applicable in all four provinces, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and the federal capital Islamabad.
The Pakistan Army has been deployed under Article 245 of the Constitution of Pakistan, which allows military assistance for internal security, while the civil armed forces have been deployed under the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1997.

District governments and local administrations had requested the cooperation of security agencies to maintain law and order, particularly to prevent any kind of violent incidents or disorder during processions and gatherings.
Security forces will strictly monitor crowded areas, sensitive locations, and procession routes to prevent any illegal activities.
