The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) has granted approval for a joint venture between Fly Jinnah Services (Pvt) Ltd and Air Arabia Academy LLC to establish a state-of-the-art aviation training institute in Pakistan.
Fly Jinnah, a commercial airline operator, and Air Arabia Academy, a UAE-based aviation training provider, have joined forces to create Fly Jinnah T3 Flight Academy (Pvt) Ltd, which will focus on enhancing aviation training within the country.
The CCP’s decision follows a pre-merger review conducted under the Competition (Merger Control) Regulations 2016.
The commission assessed the proposed venture and determined that it would not significantly reduce competition or lead to a dominant market position. Consequently, the merger was authorized under Section 31(1)(d)(i) of the Act.
Both companies are set to invest in this initiative, which aims to elevate the quality and availability of aviation training services.
