Pakistan Meteorological Department on Monday predicted dry weather in most parts of the Sindh province during the next 24 hours.
However, partly cloudy weather is predicted with chances of drizzle in coastal areas including Karachi.
According to a press release from the Met Office, a system of westerly winds is expected to enter the country, bringing hailstorms to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Islamabad. Meanwhile, snowfall is predicted in northern areas, with rain likely in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan from February 25.
The PMD has also warned of potential flash floods and landslides in hilly regions, advising tourists to avoid unnecessary travel for safety reasons.
This forecast follows heavy rainfall in Islamabad and Rawalpindi after nearly four months of dry conditions, offering relief amid an ongoing water crisis. Several areas of Punjab, including Lahore, as well as parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, also experienced light to heavy showers after a prolonged dry spell.
