A renowned bakery in Islamabad has issued a public apology following a viral incident involving Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa.
The apology comes after a video emerged on September 25 showing CJP Isa visiting the bakery with his family to purchase donuts, only to be insulted by an employee who recognized him and filmed the interaction.
In response to the incident, the bakery released a statement on its Instagram page, clarifying that the actions of the employee were personal and did not align with the company’s values. The statement emphasized that the bakery was investigating the matter and expressed regret over the situation.
The video, initially shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Ehtisham Ali Abbasi, a self-identified crime reporter, quickly went viral, amassing over 700,000 views.
Speculation soon followed that the bakery had been sealed by authorities and that the employee involved had been terminated. However, these rumors were debunked after a fact check confirmed that the shop remains open and continues to serve customers.
Interestingly, this is not the first time the bakery has faced scrutiny.
On September 11, the shop was sealed temporarily for violating dengue virus prevention SOPs in Islamabad, though it reopened after addressing the violations. The latest incident has sparked widespread discussion, with many questioning the conduct of the employee involved.
