Bollywood star and model Malaika Arora’s father, Anil Arora, has reportedly passed away on September 11, 2024, under tragic circumstances.
Initial reports indicate that he allegedly jumped from the third floor of their apartment around 9 am. Malaika, who was in Pune at the time, has rushed back to Mumbai.
However, according to the Indian Express, sources close to Malaika have said that it was an accident. “It’s an accident. We will share the police panchanama once it is available,” they said.

Following the incident, Arbaaz Khan, Malaika’s ex-husband, was spotted outside her residence. While the police do their investigation, more information about the remains is still pending. The postmortem has been transferred to Baba Hospital.
Malaika, born in Thane, Maharashtra, had her parents divorce when she was 11. She and her younger sister, Amrita Arora, moved to Chembur with their mother, Joyce Polycarp, a Malayali Christian. Their father, Anil Arora, was a Punjabi and worked in the Indian Merchant Navy.
In a past interview with Filmfare, Malaika spoke about the profound impact her parents’ separation had on her and her sister. She recalled her mother taking on the primary role in raising them.
