The Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) has been honored with the Chest Pain – MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2024 by the American College of Cardiology’s (ACC) National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR). This accolade places AKUH, Karachi among the elite hospitals worldwide for delivering high-quality cardiac care to heart attack patients.
The Chest Pain – MI Registry equips healthcare providers with the tools to consistently treat cardiac patients using the latest science-based guidelines, establishing a national benchmark for enhancing the quality, safety, and outcomes of care for patients with coronary artery disease, especially those at high risk of heart attacks.
This award highlights AKUH’s success in elevating the standard of care for heart attack patients. To earn the Chest Pain – MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award, AKUH demonstrated sustained excellence in the registry and performed at the highest level on specific performance metrics.
