The Pakistan cricket team has been eliminated from the T20 World Cup 2024 after rain forced the abandonment of the USA-Ireland match on Friday at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, in Lauderhill, Florida. This result has allowed the United States cricket team to advance to the Super-8 stage of its inaugural T20 World Cup campaign.
Florida has declared a flood emergency due to continuous rainfall all week. Despite a rain-free Thursday until evening. The match was eventually called off by the umpires after they had to assess the surface many times due to heavy rainfall earlier on Friday morning.
