The National Standards Authority of Afghanistan has confirmed the return of 75 substandard oil tankers from Iran.
The authority stated in a press release that during the past week, 75 tankers carrying substandard fuels (diesel and petrol) did not meet the agency’s standards and were returned to Iran at the Farah’s 78-mile-long port.
The report further mentions that recently, National Standards has taken practical measures to prevent the import of low-quality fuels.

The authority has requested all traders to import standard commodities into the country, or else they will have to face legal action.
It should be noted that the authority had previously returned hundreds of tankers carrying substandard petroleum products to their respective countries.
