The new heist thriller series Kaleidoscope has dropped on Netflix.
The eight-episode series is the thrilling theoretical answer to some of these questions. Inspired by true events…or events that could have hypothetically been true; here’s what we know about Kaleidoscope’s possible sequel so far.
Plot
The crime anthology centered around a group of master thieves attempting to break into a vault for the largest payday in heist history and treated each viewer to a different immersive viewing experience.
Cast
The original series boasted a large ensemble cast with Giancarlo Esposito and Paz Vega headlining. Jai Courtney, Rufus Sewell, Tati Gabrielle, Peter Mark Kendall, Rosaline Elbay, Niousha Noor, and Jordan Mendoza also starred in the series.
Is it based on a true story?
The series is loosely inspired by a scenario where $70 billion in bonds went missing in downtown Manhattan during Hurricane Sandy.
Hurricane Sandy was the largest Atlantic hurricane on record. Its impact was immense, causing more than $70 billion in damage and taking the lives of 233 people across eight countries from the Caribbean to Canada.
Will there be a season two?
Netflix has not yet announced the renewal of Kaleidoscope for the second season. The show was announced as a limited series with eight episodes, so only one season was ordered.
However, if the second season is confirmed in the next few weeks, we can expect the show to return by mid or late 2024.
