After the no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, the politics of manipulation is in full swing in the country, and seeing the situation, the allies seem ready to jump out of the government boat with full force.

Although the government claims that the numbers are enough to thwart the no-confidence motion, if the coalition leaves the government, it could create a lot of problems for the government.

No-confidence motion

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) have filed a no-confidence motion against the prime minister in the National Assembly. In this regard, the government and the opposition claim that they have the required number of 172, while despite the government’s claim of success, the National Assembly has not been convened yet.

Number of government members

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is leading with 155 seats in the 342-member House of Representatives. The government has the support of 176 members, with one seat from the League, two from Azad, and one from the Jamhoori Wattan Party.

PTI Forward Block

The sudden storm in Pakistan’s politics came after PTI leader Aleem Khan formed a separate group. Jahangir Tareen has already formed a separate group in PTI and after the formation of Aleem Khan’s new separate group, the difficulties of the government increased. Seeing the situation, the opposition has also resorted to digging holes in the government boat.

Statement of Pervaiz Elahi

PML-Q central leader and speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said that there is a hole in the boat of PTI, the tendency of allies is towards 100 percent opposition while PM Imran Khan is 100 percent in trouble.

Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that the alliance between PML-N, PPP, and Maulana Fazlur Rehman is long-lasting. When opponents unite against one person, they forget their bitterness.

He said that the Prime Minister was late and there is a hole in the PTI boat. Former President Asif Ali Zardari has more than 172 votes. If the government does not stop, if everyone comes together, no one will be able to stop.

Government-Q League fiasco

On the one hand, the prime minister is holding meetings with allies to celebrate after the no-confidence motion and to allay reservations, on the other hand, apart from Asad Umar, Pervez Khattak, and Sheikh Rashid, a few other ministers are stirring up tensions with the allies. The rift between the government and the PML-Q has widened after Sheikh Rashid’s mockery of the PML-Q leadership and the statements of the federal ministers have added fuel to the fire.
