Woman kidnaps newborn, hands over another infant’s body to parents

LARKANA: A woman allegedly kidnapped a newborn has handed over another infant’s dead body to parents.

Reportedly, a suspected woman kidnapped a newborn baby from the emergency ward of Chandka Children Hospital in Larkana. The newborns father Wahid Bakhsh told media, following disappearance of the infant that, he had brought his wife to the hospital where she gave birth to twins and one of the daughter was admitted to the emergency ward after her health deteriorated.

The father said that, the woman present at the emergency ward was told to take care of the newborn when she kidnaped her and disappeared from the hospital. After lodging in complain the police raided at the address informed, where she handed over a body of a newborn to them.

However, the father claims that the body handed over is not of his daughter’s. As the body handed over is 8-days old and his daughter was only one-day-older. Meanwhile, Police launched an investigation into the matter.
