Importance of Khatme Nabuwat conferences

Reading Time: 2 mins read

One of my friends owns a non-governmental organization (NGO) like association. Months earlier, NGOs were facing severe crises. My friend didn’t have a project and then he decided to meet directly with donors and try his luck. He met several important personalities, visited big institutions but none of the projects and proposals he made were approved.

His proposals were not accepted. However, from many places, he was asked to work for the abolition of the anti-blasphemy law in Pakistan, for the rights of minorities/Ahmadiyya community, and for the elimination of hatred and extremism against Ahmadiyya. In this regard, they were even ready to provide funds to my friend. He said after witnessing such situation, I repented and returned.

Another incident happened to a religious friend of mine. He runs a renowned madrassah in Pakistan and his institution is known for its quality of education and training. A few days ago, some guests visited him. He sent a student to buy some beverages for the guests. When the juices were served, maulana became suspicious; he called for empty bottles, which were of Shezan company.

There are many similar incidents, but these two incidents were mentioned to draw special attention to two aspects of Khatme Nabuwat and its deniers.

The first and foremost issue is what are the intentions of the external forces, anti-Islamic lobbies and tyrannical forces in the matter of Khatme Nabuwat and its deniers? And what is going on in their circles regarding the judgment of September 7, 1974 and the laws of Khatme Nabuwat? The second incident explains that when the awareness of Khatme Nabuwat will not be spread, then the products of Ahmadiyya will reach religious institutions and the gatherings of scholars.

In this regard, we can witness the importance of holding historic Khatme Nabuwat conferences at Liaquat Bagh Rawalpindi and Minar Pakistan Lahore. Such conferences were actually the need of the hour.

The most welcome and remarkable aspect of the Liaquat Bagh Conference was that the diligence and selfless spirit with which all the scholars, workers of religious organizations and affiliates of different schools of thought contributed to the preparation of the conference is commendable.

In particular, the business community, under the leadership of Sharjeel Mir, worked tirelessly for this conference. They cooperated and attended the conference in a large number, which is very encouraging.

Different parties played their role in the success of the conferences, especially the workers of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam remained active as usual and the participation and speech of Maulana Fazlur Rehman played an effective role in the success of that conference.

The conferences in Rawalpindi and Lahore are reminiscent of 1953 and 1974 and the era of the Khatme Nabuwat movements. Such historic conferences sent an effective message to all those elements, which are planning to abolish laws like the constitutional status of Ahmaddiyah.

Undoubtedly, these two conferences were a referendum and it is to be hoped that they will have far-reaching effects, but more importantly, these two conferences brought to light the importance of Khatme Nabuwat.
